Looking back on the research I conducted, this project greatly impacted my understanding of WW2 and the wiliness to serve in a war that would frighten many people. The words sacrifice and freedom are meant to stand for soldiers, veterans, and the fallen. If I had the ability to talk to Paul Roberts, I would thank him for his service and ask questions such as, "Why did you join the Navy at such a young age?" or "Was life training in the Navy difficult, and did you feel that it was worth it?".
